2023 RECAP

The proverbial adage, 'The son of the cobbler has no shoes,' often echoes in our thoughts as we devote our entire day to weaving narratives for our clients and their brands, inadvertently sidelining our own story.

This year proved to be exceptionally challenging and unprecedented for our organization. The curtain fell on 2022 with resounding success, and 2023 kicked off with our most attended team breakfast to date. However, despite this celebratory start, a wave of uncertainty swept through our client base, leading to the non-renewal of contracts by some significant clients amidst rumors of an impending recession, unleashing chaos in March.

The collapse of a Silicon Valley bank directly impacted us, as marketing expenditures typically dwindle during economic downturns. We were not alone in this downturn of events. From March to August, every agency partner, creative services company, and artist we engaged with experienced a similar ordeal.

This period tested our resilience as an organization, resulting in the loss of several long-serving employees. As a small agency heavily reliant on in-house personnel, this was a devastating blow. Despite these setbacks, we managed to accomplish remarkable projects this year, thanks to our exceptional team and outstanding freelancers. The economic recovery that began in August allowed us to rekindle relationships with clients whose budgets had suffered earlier in the year.

In the final months of this challenging year, we've experienced significant and rapid growth. This growth has empowered us to implement innovative systems, streamline processes, and cultivate a more inclusive work environment, all while seeking meaning and joy. Despite the changes our team underwent, we remain optimistic, filled with a sense of accomplishment, a strong sense of belonging, and a fearless anticipation of the future.


SOME HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR YEAR

 

REAL ESTATE

 

WESTSIDE PAPER

We were able to work with Westbridge, Third & Urban, and FCP to help execute the launch of Westside Paper, a mixed-use development filled with plenty of amazing retail vendors. Our team is incredibly proud of the work we did on this project, including a new identity, website, social presence, and running various campaigns leading up to the launch and since.

GP CENTER

We're proud of our enduring collaboration with Transwestern and the team at GPC creating captivating content for their building and helping with communications via social and on-site channels.

 

JUNCTION ON KROG

We continued our collaboration with Portman Holdings, SouthSouce (now part of Foundry Commercial), on Junction on Krog, and assisted them in developing the property's initial content. This year, we have had the privilege of working with both teams to assist in the development of more creative content throughout the year.

ABRAMS FIXTURES

We had the opportunity to work with Braden Fellman and SouthSource (now part of Foundy Commerical) on helping them rebrand and rebuild the site for Abrams Fixtures, a mixed-used property on the west side.

SOUTHSOURCE

We are grateful for our enduring partnership with the team at SouthSource. Now a part of Foundry Commercial, their collaboration has been instrumental in our journey, providing numerous opportunities for us to deliver creative and innovative solutions.


 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

BAXTER ON THE BELTLINE & McCRAY’S TAVERN

We grew our partnership with Lead HG, not only supporting the McCray’s restaurants but also playing a pivotal role in launching The Baxter on the Beltline. Our ongoing efforts have bolstered their social media presence, ensuring it's as vibrant and engaging as their venues.

ROOFTOP LOA & 9 MILE STATION

We continued our work with Slater Hospitality at the top of the year to create mouthwatering content for both of their restaurants.

 

PANCAKE SOCIAL

We're thrilled to welcome Pancake Social as a new client late this year. We played a pivotal role in the successful launch of their second location at Westside Paper and are excited for the journey ahead.

PATA NEGRA

We collaborated with Chef Octavio Ruiz of Pata Negra to create a distinctive website and captivating content that showcases their unparalleled mezcalaria concept.


 

THE BIG GUYS

TAKELESSONS BY MICROSOFT

We’ve been fortunate to have the team at Microsoft engage us again towards the end of the year in helping them create original content, motion graphics, UGC videos, and Ad campaigns.

INVESCO

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Invesco to create engaging videos and other forms of media that resulted in great engagement. We look forward to continuing our work together.

BOBCAT / DOOSAN

Excited to be working with the team at Doosan to create content set to be released in 2024.

 

ARTS

FREEMARKET & PRINTSHOP

Our team relishes the ongoing collaboration with Freemarket & Printshop, a partnership that grants us the opportunity to work alongside some of Atlanta's most gifted artists.

GFB3

One of our long-standing clients and partners, George F. Baker III AKA @GFB3 entrusted us to capture some of his signature projects this year along with helping him promote and document his first solo exhibition. Working with George and being part of his artistic journey was an absolute pleasure.

MATT TARLETON

We had the pleasure of helping Matt, a local artist to help capture his amazing work for his website and social channels.


 

LOCAL BUSINESSES

GREEN CIRCLE & BARE METALS

We launched Green Circle Demolition's new brand, Bare Metals, strengthening our longstanding partnership.

ANCESTRAL BOTTLE SHOP

We had the delightful opportunity to collaborate with Roxana Aguirre, working closely together to develop the website for Ancestral Bottle Shop, set to launch in early 2024.

TECHCIERGE

We had a chance to collaborate with Techcierge, who provides a modern approach to tech support, on their new identity. The team allowed us an immense amount of creative freedom and we are eager to launch their website in 2024.

 

PWS

We're collaborating with Proactive Wealth Strategies to actively shape their new identity that reflects their proactive financial vision for their clients.

PONCE FEET SPA

Had the opportunity to work with amazing local businesses to help create a new identity and help increase foot traffic to their Ponce De Leon location.

LOGIK VENTURES

We’re actively working with Logos Hotel Management, now Logik Ventures on their new identity and messaging for their umbrella corporation. We’re looking forward to launching their website in early 2024.


 

NON-PROFITS

RESILIENCE FORCE

We were privileged to join forces with the impactful non-profit, Resilience Force, where our role was to craft and unveil a new brand identity and online presence that truly tells their story. This project was an opportunity to echo their significant work through a compelling digital narrative, enhancing their visibility and reach. Our goal was to create a digital space that not only reflects but also amplifies the powerful mission and stories of Resilience Force, helping to bring their transformative efforts to the forefront.

CENTER FOR CIVIC INNOVATION

Our team had a chance to work with the team at CCI to help them strategize their next website (yet to launch).
