VIDEO INTERN

VIDEO INTERN (Training-Focused, Hybrid)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – Remote + In-Person Production Days)
Schedule: ~20 hours per week | 3-month program

About the Internship

We’re a creative agency looking for a curious, self-driven Video Intern who wants to learn how real-world content gets made—from first idea to final post.

This internship is a hands-on learning experience for current students, recent graduates, or early-career creatives who want to build skills in:

  • Video production

  • Post-production

  • Short-form social storytelling

You’ll work closely with our Creative Director and production team, sitting in on strategy conversations, supporting shoots, and learning how we produce video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. This is a training-focused role with a strong emphasis on education, mentorship, and portfolio-building.

If you’re currently enrolled, we’re happy to support academic credit requirements if your school allows it, but it’s not required to apply.

What You’ll Do (with Support & Mentorship)

You’ll be learning by doing, but always with guidance—not dropped into the deep end alone.

Shadow and Assist on Projects

  • Observe how we develop concepts for different clients and audiences.

  • Sit in on creative briefings, internal brainstorms, and select client check-ins.

  • Assist with light pre-production tasks (shot lists, gear pulls, basic logistics) with clear direction.

Support On-Site & Off-Site Productions

  • Help with set-up and breakdown on shoot days.

  • Assist with camera, audio, or lighting under supervision, based on your experience level.

  • Learn on-set roles, etiquette, and workflow from our team.

  • As your skills grow, help capture video and behind-the-scenes content in controlled, supervised settings.

Learn Post-Production Workflows

  • Help with selects, rough cuts, and basic edits for social-first content under guidance.

  • Learn how we organize projects, manage assets, and export for various platforms and aspect ratios.

  • Support the team in keeping digital assets organized so projects run smoothly.

Participate in Strategy & Review Sessions

  • Join internal reviews to see how video work is evaluated and refined.

  • Hear how creative decisions are made and how feedback turns into next-round edits.

  • Contribute ideas for content and social storytelling as you get more comfortable.

Your work is designed to complement—not replace—the work of our paid staff, and everything you do will be supervised with regular feedback and support.

What You’ll Learn

We provide a lot of education and want you to walk away with practical, usable skills. Over the 3 months, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Understand the end-to-end process of producing short-form video content for brands.

  • Practice using Adobe Premiere Pro (and, where applicable, After Effects) in a professional workflow.

  • Learn how to plan, shoot, and edit with social platforms, formats, and aspect ratios in mind.

  • See how a creative agency collaborates across strategy, design, social, and production.

  • Receive ongoing feedback and mentorship from our Creative Director and team, including portfolio guidance.

We build in:

  • Weekly check-ins with your supervisor to review work, answer questions, and set/track learning goals.

  • Opportunities to review your edits together, talk through creative decisions, and refine your craft.

Ideal Skills & Background

You don’t need to be an expert—we’re here to help you grow. You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You’re a current student, recent graduate, or early-career creative interested in film, media, communications, design, marketing, or a related area.

  • You have at least a basic working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects and other Adobe apps are a plus).

  • You’re open to feedback, comfortable communicating, and enjoy collaborating with a small team.

  • You can manage your time, stay organized, and follow through on tasks.

  • You’re genuinely interested in short-form content, social media, and visual storytelling.

Format & Location

This is a hybrid internship based in Atlanta:

  • Most work will be remote, focusing on planning, training, and post-production tasks.

  • You’ll be expected to attend in-person productions in Atlanta or surrounding areas 1–3 times per week, depending on the schedule and project needs.

Compensation, Stipend & Duration

  • Length: 3 months

  • Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week (we’ll set a consistent schedule together)

  • Compensation: This is an unpaid, training-focused internship.

  • Stipend: For each day you work, the agency provides a $15/day stipend intended to help offset transportation and meal costs.

Your first week is focused on onboarding and training (tools, workflows, expectations) and is included within the 3-month internship under the same stipend structure.

Internship Structure & Growth Path

Onboarding Week
If selected, you’ll start with an onboarding and training week (remote and/or hybrid) focused on:

  • Learning our tools, workflows, and expectations

  • Getting to know the team and how we communicate

  • Setting your learning goals for the internship

This onboarding week is part of the 3-month internship and is covered by the same $15/day stipend.

3-Month Content Creator Internship
After onboarding, you’ll move into the full internship phase:

  • ~20 hours per week for the remainder of the 3 months

  • Ongoing project support, mentorship, and portfolio development

  • Regular check-ins to align on goals, expectations, and growth

Phase Two: Paid Creative Fellowship (Optional, Not Guaranteed)

Interns who demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, and growth may be invited to continue into a second phase as a Paid Creative Fellow (typically an additional 3-month period).

  • The fellowship is a paid, early-career role with increased responsibility and continued mentorship.

  • You’ll continue to support our creative, social, and production work while deepening your skills and familiarity with our workflows.

  • Selection for the fellowship depends on performance and business needs and is not guaranteed.

There is no guarantee of a paid position at the end of the internship. However, interns who successfully complete the program and demonstrate strong skills, professionalism, and initiative may be considered for future paid project-based, fellowship, or part-time opportunities as they become available and as business needs allow.
